Am 24. Februar 2022 ist der Krieg nach Europa zurückgekehrt. Russlands großangelegte Invasion in der Ukraine hat lang gehegte Annahmen über Stabilität und Sicherheit in Europa in Frage gestellt.
Wie und wann der Krieg auch enden mag: Es ist klar, dass sich die Auswirkungen der russischen Aggression über viele Jahre entfalten und verschiedene Aspekte der europäischen und internationalen Ordnung beeinflussen werden. Auch wenn wir die Zukunft nicht vorhersagen können, ist es doch unerlässlich, das (Un-)Gewisse zu antizipieren und sich darauf vorzubereiten.
Wir haben mit FEPS, dem Olof Palme International Center und der Fondation Jean Jaures renommierte Expert:innen aus unterschiedlichen Fachbereichen zusammengebracht, um über mögliche Szenarien nachzudenken und Ideen zu entwickeln, wie Europa durch diese neuen, unsicheren Zeiten navigieren kann.
Ein Ergebnis dieser Überlegungen ist das Buch "Forging Europe's Leadership“.
